DESCRIPTION:The show will be a celebration of songwriting by the icon\, Bob Dylan and a nod to the recent film about his life and early years as a musician. \nConsidered one of the greatest songwriters of all time\, Dylan has been a major figure in popular culture over his nearly 70-year career. With an estimated more than 125 million records sold worldwide\, he is one of the best-selling musicians of all time. Dylan added increasingly sophisticated lyrical techniques to the folk music of the early 1960s\, infusing it “with the intellectualism of classic literature and poetry”.[6] His lyrics incorporated political\, social\, and philosophical influences\, defying pop music conventions and appealing to the burgeoning counterculture. \nThe show will feature many of the bay areas most well known\, and acknowledged\, musicians and performers in musical homage to this poet and musical genius.

Her songs have been covered by Joan Baez\, Bob Geldof\, Chris Smither\, the world renowned Conspirare Choir\, Tom Rush and Rosanne Cash and have appeared in films\, PBS specials and on primetime TV. A member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame\, and an inductee into the Austin Songwriter Hall of Fame\, she has won countless Folk Alliance and Austin Music awards\, including 2014’s Songwriter of the Year and the “Song of the Year” Award at the Folk Alliance International Conference in 2021 \nNina has been an undeniable staple of the West Coast acoustic music scene since the late 70’s. From the first time she heard Kate Wolf perform in a local pizza shop\, the budding teenage guitarist single-mindedly dedicated herself to her instrument. Within a few years she had won Wolf’s respect and a place as her principal musical collaborator. From there she built a career as a sought after teacher\, arranger\, producer and prolific accompanist to a veritable who’s who of folk music royalty.
