News from Kevin Russell

May 10, 2021

My big news is that I am making a return to radio. Beginning on May 15th I will be the host of Our Roots are Showing on KRCB radio from 2 to 5pm. My co-host will be Candy Girard and we’ll be on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, alternating with long-time radio hero, Steve DeLapp.

Also, there is good news about KRCB. The station has obtained a new signal that will allow it to be heard clearly over most, if not all, of Sonoma county. Going forward KRCB, aka Sonoma County’s NPR station, will have a new number 104.9! And, you can continue listening online if that’s your preference (krcb.org).

What can you expect on the new radio show? Varied kinds of Americana music; especially western swing, real deal country, folk, singer-songwriters, bluegrass, gypsy jazz, blues and more! Let me know your requests and I’ll try to play them. I also hope, when it is deemed Covid safe, to have local artists in for interviews and live music.
