Two incredible acts join forces for one amazing show!
The Musers are Sonoma County’s “free-range” folk group: Megan McLaughlin on guitar and mandolin; Anita Sandwina on vocals and guitar, Tom Kuhn on bass; and Leslie Jackson on cajón and mandolin. Their sister-like harmonies and award-winning songs hit all the roots genres including, bluegrass, swing, blues, Appalachian, and Irish. With thoughtful songwriting and dynamic arrangements, this band of merrymakers delivers high-energy performances of their original work along with pop and funk covers. Megan’s strong voice and compelling guitar work, along with Leslie’s experience with traditional ethnic music and dance combine to create a variety of sounds that set them apart from many other singer-songwriter outfits. It is no wonder they are beloved by their Bay Area home audiences. The group’s 4th recording “Beautiful Mysteries” arrived in April of 2022.
Rita Hosking’s style of country-folk has been lauded for story and sense of place, and her performances praised with capturing the audience. She hails from Hatchet Mountain — a mountain between Montgomery Creek and Burney, CA. A descendant of Cornish miners who sang in the mines of Cornwall and Grass Valley, CA, Rita grew up with deep regard for folk music and the power of the voice.”More authenticity than you can shake a stick at,” – Maverick Magazine.
