Read the Letter to Members from President Mark Hogan

October 18, 2023

Greetings

The Sonoma County Folk Society Board of Directors is currently considering some changes in our by-laws.
It is going to be proposed that the number of board seats be increased by two, from five seats to seven seats. A quorum would then be set at four for a seven person board from the current three for the current five person board.
In addition to bringing in “new blood” we expect that the addition of two new board seats will distribute the work load among more people.
The SOCOFOSO board has been visiting and revisiting the idea of expanding the number of board seats for many years now and we have finally agreed to move forward with the changes.

Thank you,
Mark Hogan
SOCOFOSO President
