At the Sebastopol Grange on Sunday, June 30th, Michael Stadler will start the day with a workshop. Then we will hold our usual jam from 1-5pm
Fifth Sunday, 11:00 – 12:30 workshop – (Please arrive in tune.)
First half – Chord Options
Don’t Bore (unless you’re drilling into chords)
Hands-on for Guitar & Mandolin

Play the same chords differently via alternative chord voicings. We’ll break chord habits to make playing with others more interesting.

Second half – Rhythm Focus
It’s About Time (Strumming pattern variants)
Hands-on for strummed instruments
If you are playing the same strumming pattern as another in a jam, stop! We’ll offer alternatives to rhythmic duplication in jam settings.

Michael Stadler is an experienced teacher of individual and groups in music camp, classroom, and festival settings. Bring your instrument. Handouts will be available.
