Steve Hogle has been involved in bluegrass music in California since before there was a California Bluegrass Association. Steve is one of the original signatories on the petition that Carl Pagter (CBA #1) was passing around in 1975 on the way to filing the paperwork necessary to form the CBA. His membership number is 39. Steve recently received a CBA Lifetime Member appointment at the Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival recognizing his years of volunteer efforts serving on the board, putting together workshops and producing the Father’s Day Festival from the beginning. The Sonoma County Folk Society has also been a lucky recipient of Steve’s tireless love of volunteering for music/entertainment productions over the years. He has worked the Sonoma County Bluegrass and Folk Festivals as stage manager, has served as editor of the bi-monthly Folk Notes newsletter for decades and is a master at recruiting new members to our club when he sits at our membership booth! We are proud that Steve earned the lifetime membership from the CBA and we also want to recognize him as a super-volunteer for the Sonoma County Folk Society as well. Thank you Steve! And congratulations!
