Members asked how to post on SoCoFoSo Facebook page by Sheridan Malone

August 1, 2023

Our SoCoFoSo Facebook page is another resource for members to see and share things that are going on with them and mention upcoming events. Bands or solo artists may want to share a picture, event poster, Youtube video, website, or even a ticket link.

It’s really easy: To share a photo or event poster, merely start a message or reply comment, then click the camera icon and upload your photo in jpg format (Note: FB does not accept pdf format).

To post a link to your Facebook page, go to your own page and copy the url at the top of the page
(eg. the Taylor Mountain String Band link is https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100093607899757)

The best way share a video clip is to go to your Youtube video page and just below the video screen to the right you’ll see a “share” button. Press “share” and a screen will pop up with a url and a blue “copy” button. Copy the url and simply paste it into to the text of your Facebook message or reply, and the link will take folks to your video. ( eg. a TMSB video link https://youtu.be/YFnoIqRT1Oo)

If you have a website and want to share that with the group just paste the website url into the FB text (eg. my website is http://www.sheridanmalone.com/

If you are sharing a ticket link for an event it’s still the same. (eg.Our Taylor Mountain String Band and Cedar Mountain String Band are playing a double bill at The Lost Church and this is the url they provided https://tinyurl.com/TaylorCedarMountainsSept30)

You don’t need to be an administrator to share your music, copy and paste is your friend!
